Ruko Had Wings by Taylor-payton Ruko Had Wings by Taylor-payton

Yet another piece I finished. Took about 2.5 hours in all.

Here's a short poem I wrote to accompany the image.

Ruko had too many wings
She was incapable of flight
They couldn't work together
Only flutter and fight

Burdensome, loathsome
Irksome, and tight
Ornate and thoroughly useless
They just weren't right

So she sat for years
And became very bright
She watched the end of time
To her, the shift was only slight

Her body wasn't strong
Yet her mind was full of light
And though she had many wings
They were incapable of flight.

Thank you! Though it was a quicker piece, there's a lot of heart in this one.

I really like the emotion you put in her face! The colours are very nice too, both cool and warm.
The poem was great as well, did you write it yourself?

Thank you! The face come together pretty easily for this one.

And yes, the poem is me as well. It was fun to contrive when I took breaks from the image!
